I have been living in Brisbane since the year 2000 and am originally from Mackay in North Queensland. Primarily working in the office and corporate environment since 1995, I understand the constant pressures of our busy working and personal life and how much we can neglect the self and in turn starve the soul for much need stillness, inner peace and reflection.

Since my teenage years I have had a natural interest in that which is more than just our physical existence. Topics such as metaphysics, energy life-source, vibrational energy, soul/higher consciousness, chakras, auras, angelic beings, being true to your self first and foremost and so much more have always been existent in my every day life thanks to my mother who is an ever abundant source of wisdom, truth, belief and of course love.

I first came across Lomi Lomi in 2006 after being recommended by a dear girlfriend. I was going through my own personal soul searching journey and was in dire need of deep healing on a spiritual, emotional and physical level.  My friend understood who I was and how much I would benefit from this deeply healing, intense yet soothing experience. Without hesitation or knowing anything about Lomi Lomi at all, I booked myself into have my very own first Hawaiian massage.

The memories I have of my first Lomi Lomi experience are as intense today as they were that day in 2006. Within an instant of the massage, the peaceful and meditative experience of the caring touch I was receiving made me realise (with tears of joy and sadness), how starved I was of being truly loved, appreciated and cared for, specifically the lack of love and appreciation I had for myself.

Dawn my practitioner gave me more than a massage or someone to talk to open and honestly but also time out from the pressure I placed on myself, as well as my busy life and treated me like the most important person in the world. The fact that a total stranger gave me hours of her attention to listen to me on all levels on what I was expressing - verbally, emotionally, physically and spiritually and didn't try to push me out the door for the next client - impressed me immensely.

It may only be recent that I learned Lomi Lomi but in being taught this technique I have remembered who I am. I am and always have been connected with the divine existence of my higher-self and the higher-consciousness of the universe we all exist within. My wish is to empower others to tap in to remember also that they are already an all powerful being of love and light, fully capable of all that they chose to experience in this lifetime as we are all the creators of our own existence.

*Taught by Dawn Charlton, the only authorised teacher of 'Traditional Old Style Lomi Lomi' as trained by the keeper of this sacred lineage Kahu Sherman Dudoit.
