Intro to Lomi Lomi To make massage more affordable, I have recently added the 'intro' Lomi Lomi massage. Massage is something we all wish to indulge in but sometimes we may not have the budget for it. As the Lomi Lomi is extremely flexible with its delivery from the practitioner this massage uses all the flowing techniques of the Hawaiian bodywork therapy however the deep tissue techniques are excluded. A lovely relaxing massage for those wanting a gentle introduction to Lomi Lomi. |

IMPORTANT Additional Information:
Traditional Old Style Lomi Lomi Massage has absolutely NO sensual or sexual reference or intention in any way. This massage style should be considered a therapeutic massage similar to any other offered at a professional health/beauty clinic or spa.
For the full benefit of the Lomi Lomi massage, it is best that the recipient be unclothed yet respectably draped at all times with a colourful sarong - it is for mutual respect. Please know that this is part of the tradition of this style and no exceptions will be made. Whist this may seem confronting at first for some - it allows the soothing full wave-like movements over the full back of the body and deep tissue work to the glute (buttock) area. At no time are you permitted to lie exposed on the massage table or ask for the sarong to be taken away.
Please note that Lomi Lomi is quite different from Hawaiian Kahuna style massage. Whilst both massages offer very similar benefits, Lomi Lomi uses the laying of the hands and thumb pressure throughout the entire massage whereas Kahuna uses more of the practitioners forearm and dance-like body movements. The experience of the two massage styles are quite different and it is a personal preference of the recipient.
The Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is best experienced in the traditional way of its intent - where the recipient is fully at ease on the table with the intention of a peaceful mind and open heart to receive the healing energy through the practitioners massage techniques. Prior to your session we may have a quick chat to get to know each other however it is my policy to not converse with you whilst you are meant to be relaxing once on the table. Should your mind wonder and you wish to talk during your session I ask that you quiet your mind to receive the full benefit to precious time out and physical and emotional healing.
