After spending about 3 years trying to find the exact right masseuse, after my friend and most amazing masseuse decided to go back and live in NZ; a couple of weeks ago I put it 'out there'  to find someone who not only gave a fantastic physical massage, for in the physical body is where we hold all of our emotions that have manifested as aches and pains, and having experienced a lot of Hawaiian energies coming up for me in my day to day life, I finally 'heard the message' and Googled Kahuna Massages, and through this was led to Kylie Bay's site. After having had a few very ordinary massages lately by those who professed to be 'good' at it, I was reading her web site with great interest and asking the question 'is all of what she says here true or is it just marketing'?  I sat with it for a day or so to see how it felt for me, then I investigated further into the claims about who taught her, and felt into that.

I finally decided to call Kylie and make and appointment.  I'm very much aware of how people 'feel' to me when I talk to them on the phone, and I felt very comfortable after speaking, briefly, to Kylie so made a time to have my massage.

Firstly I can say that EVERYTHING she says in her write up is absolutely true, if anything it understates her energy and giftedness. 

When I arrived for my massage we chatted for quite some time about many different things and we got a snapshot of who each of us was so that when the time came for the massage there was already a lovely connection.  Her sacred space for massaging is a most beautiful room and immediately gives a feeling of welcome-ness, peace and unhurriedness, no one likes to feel like they are just bustled in and then pushed out the door, and at no time did I feel like 'my time was up'. All this even before she 'touched' me.

From the first moment of her first touch, which was to bring me into a place of balance and harmony and to allow me to understand and feel that that was MY time in every sense of the word, the journey just grew more amazing. Yes there was the physical work which was fantastic, but underlying that was this beautiful feeling of 'specialness', that this truly was 'my time' and that there was nothing in the world outside of that moment.  From the beautiful music to the peace, serenity and absolute feeling of safeness, together with the movement of her body being in harmony and total awareness with each muscle, I traveled a journey of allowing and releasing, giving my body permission to let go of all that it had been holding on to; until you have such a massage you really don't know how much you HAVE held in your physical body, so many say our 'minds are full of ...'but this is reflected also by our body.

I never knew there were so many places to be massaged and at each moment I thought that must be the finish, but each time there was more amazing bodywork to follow, whilst the time felt like it went so fast I also felt like I'd been there for an 'eternity'. To the very closing moments of rebalancing and grounding back into the moment, I felt like there was 'no rush', even in taking my time to get myself back into a place where I was able to get off the table without melting onto the floor and get dressed, I did not feel hurried.  My gift of the most glorious baths salts were put into good use when I got home and continued the experience with a lovely soaking bath. 

If you are just looking for a physical fix without an understanding of the emotional releases available, then this probably isn't for you unless you are prepared to step out of the old beliefs of previous massages, but if you are looking for an absolutely amazing journey then don't hesitate in making an appointment.  There is so much for you to receive from this special time, don't shut yourself off from allowing it all to come to you.  I can't wait for my next massage and have been busy telling all my friends. A hint for you would be to make sure you don't make arrangements to do anything other than go home after and allow the experience to continue with a beautiful bath.

Thank you Kylie for being EXACTLY what I asked for. You are an amazingly gifted person and a beautiful soul. I can't imagine going back to the 'old' massage system.
